When are our Course Times?

Morning from 10.00 a.m. to 11.45 a.m
Afternoon from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m

For private lessons by appointment.

Where is the Meeting Point for the Courses?

The meeting point for group courses and private lessons is at the mountain station of the Hochzillertalbahn: on the right side at the ski school hut.

Arrived at the mountain station you will see 50 meters on the right side, a large log cabin - that's where the Hochzillertal ski school is at home. The log cabin is also labeled as "Skischule Hochzillertal".

For the ascent to the ski school you need about 15 - 20 minutes.

When do the Courses start?

Beginners: Sundays and, if required and available teacher capacity, also possible on Mondays - until Thursday

Advanced (only children's ski courses): Sunday to Thursday

The group assignment takes place on the first day of the course 30 minutes before the start of the course.

Attention: The 1st of January is free for all group courses.

When are the Offices open?

Our main office in Kaltenbach is situated right beside the two 8-seat cable car lifts and is opened daily.

Su - Fr 08:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm

Sa: 08:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

The office is closed until the beginning of November. Please book online or send us an e-mail. The online store will be open again in August.

Is the Ski Pass included in the Price?

No. The ski pass must be purchased separately.

In which Languages are our Courses offered?

Our group courses are held in German and English (international courses).

In our team we also have teachers who speak Dutch.

Unfortunately, we cannot promise you that you will get a teacher who speaks your native language (except for German and English).

We try to take this into account when dividing up the groups, but the focus is on skiing or snowboarding and not the language.

Is there a Lunch Care for Children?

No, we do not offer Lunch Care.

Can the equipment be rented from our Ski School?

You can book the equipment directly with us. Included in the rental (skis, ski boots, ski poles, the helmet must be rented separately).

With online booking you do not need to come to the Hochzillertal ski school office. You should go to our rental partners “Rent and Go”for your equipment. Print your online booking confirmation and take it with you. Without this, you will not be able to get your ski equipment. 

“Rent and Go” is about 100 m from the Valley lift station and clearly marked. Then you come directly to the ski school in the ski area. 

Just bring your online booking, printed out or on your mobile phone, as proof of purchase of the ski lessonsRemember: online booking either printed out, or on the mobile phone, or both.

What equipment should I bring to Class?

To ensure that nothing stands in the way of a successful day at the ski school, we recommend, in addition to the normal ski equipment (skis, boots and poles):

  • Helmet
  • Ski goggles and/or sunglasses
  • Suncream
  • Gloves
  • Liner cap/balaclava
Can the Course be postponed in bad Weather?

No, booked courses cannot be canceled due to bad weather. Course cancellations due to weather-related influences - force majeure - will not be reimbursed.

Will the course Time be made up if I'm late?

No. We ask that you arrive on time at the meeting point so that you can make the most of every minute of your course.

The ski instructors have a strict schedule and therefore have no way of making up for lost time.

Do I get my Money back in Case of Injury or Illness?

Card refunds due to injury or illness are only possible with a medical certificate from a local doctor.

What are the Cancellation Conditions?

Cancellations for booked courses or private ski instructors must be announced at least 48 hours before the start of the course, otherwise the full amount will be charged according to the booking.

Courses that have already started cannot be canceled - there are also no refunds.

Do I get my Money back if I don't like it?

A refund if you don't like it is not possible. However, the difference between used and unused days can be used for another offer from the ski school.

I booked online. What do I have to do on site?

Directions

After you have purchased your lift ticket (not included in the ski course), please take the silver gondola to the Hochzillertal ski school. After you arrive at the mountain station, you will see a large log cabin, where the Hochzillertal ski school is located. It is 50 meters on the right-hand side. There is a large sign "Skischule Hochzillertal" on the log cabin. The gondola ascent takes about 15 - 20 minutes.
