Here you will find the most important questions and answers about your ski course at Skischule Hochzillertal. Whether course times, meeting points, online booking, equipment, ski passes or cancellation terms – we have summarised all relevant information for you so that you can start your day on the slopes fully prepared.
Children’s courses:
Morning from 10:00 am to 11:45 am
Afternoon from 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm
Adult beginner course: From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Private lessons by arrangement.
The meeting point for group courses and private lessons is at the mountain station of the Hochzillertalbahn: on the right-hand side by the ski school hut.
Once you arrive at the mountain station, you will see a large log cabin approximately 50 metres away on the right-hand side. This is where Skischule Hochzillertal is located. The log cabin is also marked with the words "Skischule Hochzillertal".
Please allow approximately 15–20 minutes for the journey up to the ski school.
Beginners: Courses start on Sundays and, subject to demand and instructor availability, may also start on Mondays – courses run until Thursday.
Advanced skiers (children’s ski courses only): Sunday to Thursday
Group allocation takes place on the first day of the course, 30 minutes before the course begins.
Please note: No ski, snowboard, group or private lessons take place on 1 January!
Our ski school office, located on the right-hand side next to the new MOUNTAIN STATION of the HOCHZILLERTALBAHN, is open daily from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm.

No. The ski pass must be purchased separately.
Our private and group courses are held in German and English (international courses). Our team also includes instructors who speak Dutch.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned an instructor who speaks your native language, except for German and English.
We will try to take this into account when allocating the groups. However, the main focus is on skiing or snowboarding, rather than the language.
No, we do not offer lunchtime supervision.
You are welcome to book the equipment directly through us. The rental includes skis, ski boots and ski poles. The helmet must be rented separately.
Before the course begins, please take a printed copy of your online booking to our partner “Rent and Go” (this is absolutely essential). There you will receive the ski equipment you have booked.
“Rent and Go” is located approximately 100 metres from the valley station, below the “Post-Alm”, and is very easy to find. Afterwards, please come directly to the ski school in the ski area.
Your online booking, either printed or displayed on your mobile phone, serves as proof of participation in the ski lessons. Tip: Bring one printed copy of your online booking and keep another copy on your mobile phone.
To make sure nothing stands in the way of a successful day at the ski school, we recommend bringing the following in addition to your standard ski equipment (skis, ski boots and poles):
- Helmet
- Ski goggles and/or sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Gloves
- Helmet liner/balaclava
No, booked courses cannot be cancelled due to bad weather. Lessons cancelled as a result of weather conditions or force majeure will not be refunded.
No. Please arrive at the meeting point on time so that you can make full use of every minute of your lesson.
The ski instructors follow a strict schedule and are therefore unable to make up for missed lesson time.
Course fee refunds due to injury or illness are only possible upon presentation of a medical certificate issued by a local doctor.
Cancellations of booked courses or private ski instructors must be communicated no later than 72 hours before the course begins. Otherwise, the full amount stated in the booking will be charged.
Courses that have already commenced cannot be cancelled, and no refund will be issued.
A refund due to dissatisfaction is not possible. However, the difference in value between the used and unused days may be applied to another service offered by the ski school.

Once you arrive at the mountain station, you will see a large log cabin approximately 50 metres away on the right-hand side. This is where Skischule Hochzillertal is located.
